KJ and Dan are having communication issues. After a few years of dating, the couple go to a friend’s vacation home for the weekend to rekindle their romance… only to find a dying, but dead, rat trapped in a glue trap. They disagree on how to deal with her, with KJ advocating for a quick death and Dan suggesting that the rat’s final moments be as pleasant as possible. The couple compromise and move on, slowly finding their way back to each other in this beautiful setting. Unfortunately, their peace is disturbed by the arrival of a small woman who can only be described as “scientifically” charitable – she is the younger sister of their host and had no idea anyone was staying at the family’s summer cottage. It’s okay to bump into her, right? As the couple grapple with this intruder at the height of an already tense dynamic, KJ and Dan worry that this troublesome third circle could be a bigger threat to their relationship.
