Follow a group of military super-humans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster and a gorgon. The writer and creator of the series, James Gunn, appears in the opening credits with a laptop while typing the script. .

Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). What an entry into the new DC studio regime. This first installment and introduction to the new DC universe is a promising and welcome sight.
The story takes care of the characters, and the animation is superb
Speaking of animation, the new “Tomorrow-verse” animation looked very cheap and flat, with no life in the animation style or stories. Great DC Universe stories like “Under the Red Hood,” “Justice League: Dark” and “Superman: Doomsday” set the standard for quality comic book animation. I collected all the animated films from that era and I wasn’t interested in the Sutra universe, due to the lazy writing and lazy drawing.
The art style is fun, lively and well drawn
But Creature Commandos is a return to form for quality animation. I already care about the characters and the story is interesting. James Gunn has started this universe off well and is making his upcoming projects highly anticipated.

The new Superman movie is definitely on my must-see list. Check out the series, it’s only 2 episodes long, but the anticipation and connection to the characters is here. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
