Two episodes in and this show shows a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and even weird at times… heartwarming in a way that most shows aren’t, just reminding the entertainment community of those elements. I’m not sure if this accurately shows the therapist’s way of dealing with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a chance to think on his own terms.
Rhodes, Jason’s sort of boss and mentor
I wasn’t sure how his character would work on this show, but Rhodes’ anti-social nature definitely plays into the personality Ford comes across quite well when we see him. Think of the scarier elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, he fits this show perfectly. Somewhat too close, Sean (Luke Tenney) somehow plays the role of Jimmy’s (Segel) son as he deals with his family issues with his daughter Alice (Lucita Maxwell)…
And the music in this show is so beautiful
What I see here seems so vivid and the possibilities are maybe(?) endless as I watch Jimmy navigate these things. By the way, the intro theme of this show is so beautiful that I didn’t miss it even when I watched the 2nd episode… Overall it turned out to be a wonderful show and I hope it only gets better from here on out.
