Caught this movie last night at a blind preview at our local theater complex
I probably wouldn’t have chosen to see it if I had known what it was, but I’m glad I did. Its strengths are the moving, honest portrayals of some of the program it portrays (notably Clarence Macklin and Sean Johnson) and the work of Colman Domingo.
The cinematography and direction add to the show’s sincerity without overwhelming it and with an approach that makes the viewer feel like they are witnessing the conversations and events rather than consuming them
Thought-provoking. Underrated.
